Organised by David Harrison, Selside, this is a ‘first’ trial for us and I think has been enjoyed by all competitors!
Saturday
With 57 entries the early morning conditions were wet and windy clearing later in the day for later runners. Judge Mr Pat Noble, Quernmore, described the field as useful and fairly flat with slight undulations; the Swaledale hogs certainly testing and extremely difficult at the pen.

1. Mr Norman Ireland, Drigg, Holmrook with Maggie running at 49 - 78
2. Mr M T Longton, Quernmore with Don running at 8 - 73 (who set the standard
unbeaten until Run 49)

Weather was very wet and blustery first thing in the morning but cleared late morning to sun in the early afternoon but still with a strong wind!!
With an entry of 75, everyone again enjoyed their day/run – sheep were still difficult but more penned today.
