Lakeland Rose Show 2007
The Westmorland County Showground is, once again, the venue for the Lakeland Rose Show to be held over the weekend July 14 - 15. This year’s show promises something for everyone as the North West Area of NAFAS stage a show within a show, bringing the country’s top demonstrators to display their skills, and the National Sweet Pea Society makes a welcome return with their National show.
Not to be out-done, the rose section of the show will host an American Judge, Dr. Tommy Cairns - recent past President of the American Rose Society and current President of the World Federation of Rose Societies, flies in on Friday 13 July, travels to Crooklands, assists with Saturday’s judging then flies home to Los Angeles on the Sunday - a true “flying visit”!
Add to this a greatly improved Horticultural Trade marquee and our usual mix of entertainment, trade stands, displays and bumper Craft Fair. We hope we’ve got the right recipe for a good show; all we need now is the weather after managing to find the only wet weekend in July last year.
