Building on our heritage to create a better future.
Founded in 1799 and becoming a registered charity limited by guarantee in 1996, the Westmorland County Agricultural Society is dedicated to promoting the following objectives:
- allied industries
- rural crafts
- and breeding of livestock,
with focus concentrated on a radius of 55 miles of the Society showfield at Lane Farm, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, Cumbria.
The Westmorland County Agricultural Society also takes a keen interest in education and promotes a Rural Links programme with schools and colleges as well as a Chris Lambert Busary available to students and people interested in agriculture living within the Westmorland County Agricultural Society's area. This bursary is available to those students and people who wish to travel and broaden their knowledge of agricultural practices and methods.
